TRUST // ADVERTISING BOUNDARIES

    Advertising Policy

The formats INNERSTANDIN may consider, the claims it will reject, and the safeguards that keep paid visibility separate from evidence.

    Status // Working public policy

This page sets a transparent operating foundation. Qualified UK review is still required before commercial activity or scaled health claims begin.

    Working policy and current status

This public policy describes a future advertising framework. INNERSTANDIN does not currently run display advertising, accept sponsors, sell paid placement, or publish commercial campaigns. Qualified UK legal, regulatory, advertising, privacy, and accounting review is required before any format goes live.

Paid visibility is a commercial relationship. It will be identified before a reader invests time in the material, and it will never be presented as independent research.

    Advertising formats we may consider

Affiliate content may include a clearly labelled evidence review or buying-considerations page where a commission could be earned after a purchase. Fixed-fee sponsorship may support a research briefing, hub, resource, or defined publication slot without giving the sponsor control over the evidence.

Newsletter sponsorship may place one labelled sponsor message in a research email. Resource sponsorship may support a non-clinical template or educational project. Future display advertising would be considered only with category controls, placement limits, privacy review, and a clear separation from editorial material.

    Red-line categories

INNERSTANDIN will reject medicinal or disease-treatment claims, miracle stacks, cure or prevention promises, and products that turn a biological mechanism into a guaranteed personal outcome. It will also reject unvalidated tests or interpretation funnels presented as answers to complex symptoms.

Fear-based mould, toxin, detox, or exposure claims will not be accepted. We will reject exploitative targeting of people who are worried, unwell, or searching urgently for an explanation; unsupported clinic or practitioner claims; and advertisers who refuse clear disclosure, evidence questions, or an editorial firewall.

    Labels and placement

Affiliate material will use a visible "Ad" label. Paid sponsorship will use "Sponsored" or "Ad" before the sponsored copy. A vague label such as "partner" will not be the only disclosure where a reader could reasonably misunderstand the commercial relationship.

Labels will remain visible on mobile and near the relevant content. Paid material will not be designed to look like an independent evidence conclusion, and a sponsor will not be placed so close to a research statement that the relationship becomes unclear.

    Frequency, adjacency, and concentration

Planned safeguards include one principal sponsor per newsletter issue, limited paid placements on a page or research hub, and clear spacing between sponsored material and editorial conclusions. Frequency will be reviewed so that commercial messages do not overwhelm the research brief or resource experience.

INNERSTANDIN plans to avoid relying on one sponsor for more than 30% of revenue. This is an internal independence guardrail, not a promise of commercial performance. A sponsor will not receive pay-to-rank treatment or priority over a better-supported alternative.

    Rejection, monitoring, and takedown

Potential advertisers will be screened for claim wording, product or service transparency, conflicts, audience fit, privacy implications, and willingness to accept clear disclosure. INNERSTANDIN may reject a campaign without giving the advertiser a right to revise the editorial conclusion.

Published commercial material will be monitored for changed claims, complaints, broken disclosures, and material changes to the product or service. We may pause or remove an advert immediately when the claim becomes unsupported, misleading, unsafe to publish, or inconsistent with this policy.

    Payment never buys the conclusion

A paid placement, commission, free sample, or topic sponsorship cannot buy a favourable evidence rating, a positive review, a product inclusion, or a conclusion that exceeds the available research. The Editorial Independence page explains the review and conflict safeguards in more detail.
